With the blessings of our Heavenly Father, the 50th Anniversary Open Days were held successfully on December 7 and 8. The displays, booths and activities were wonderful. We truly appreciate the work and time that our staff and students put into the Open Days. We would also like to express our gratitude to the La Salle Brothers, friends of the Hong Kong Lasallian Family, our Old Boys and parents for their enthusiastic support.

On 2nd September 2019, the first day of school, CSK was blessed by the Opening Mass celebrated by Rev. Benedict LAM Cho-ming. In the Homily, he shared the parable of the mustard seed - what faith in the size of a mustard seed can really do to our lives. He also shared the three qualities expressed in the Serenity Prayer - serenity, courage and wisdom, and encouraged us to understand our own potential, our own limits and our capacity for transcendence. The Opening Mass came to the end with the blessing of our guest celebrant. The Opening Mass was followed by the Kick-Off Ceremony of the 50th Anniversary officiated by Rev. Benedict LAM Cho-ming, Brother Mikey Cua FSC, School Supervisor, School Principal, President of Student Association and Head Prefect.

For the first time in the history of Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College, old boys of all ages competed in an athletics meet on 4th May 2019 to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Despite occasional rain showers, around forty old boys competed in a variety of track and field events at Perth Street Sports Ground, exhibiting strength, skill and endurance. While the competitors were contending for the crown, their family and friends gave them the best cheers on the spectators’ stand. The fundraising event organized by the Old Boys’ Association was drawn to a close with some old boys and their children taking part in a 2 x 50 m family relay. The fantastic afternoon provided an opportunity for old boys to meet the retired teachers and to strengthen the spirit of boys in red.

Congratulations to the winning classes! Each winning class was awarded $800 vouchers as prizes. The best five winning classes of the 50th Anniversary Inter-class Video Shooting Competition were as follows: 1C / 5A / 1D / 2A / 3C
The winning entries were uploaded to the school 50th anniversary Facebook and Instagram. Videos produced by all classes could be viewed during lunchtime for three consecutive days in late May. Students enjoyed the showcase and found the videos entertaining and unforgettable, looking forward to other celebratory events.

The school is celebrating its 50th Anniversary on the theme of “Roots and Wings”. In celebration of this important milestone, a Logo Design Competition was organized in November 2018. The results are as follows:
First - 3C04 Chow Ching Laam
Second - 3C12 Lee Man Hei
Third - 3B03 Chang Jin Pong
Congratulations to the above winners who were awarded book coupons in recognition of their creative designs. The winning entry is adapted as the official 50th anniversary logo.

The 50th Anniversary Walkathon was held successfully on 23 February 2019. We were honoured to have Brother Thomas Lavin, Brother Patrick Tierney, Brother Chris Soosai and other distinguished guests to officiate at the Opening Ceremony. A big thank you to all the guests and each and every participant who honoured the school’s call to support the Walkathon.
